Driving across the Delwood neighborhood in East Austin final week I noticed this engaging waterwise entrance yard. An enormous crape myrtle shades one facet of the midcentury-style residence, sheltering a small patio beneath its branches. On the sunny facet, Mexican feathergrass, large hesperaloe, firecracker fern, and fall aster get pleasure from a reasonably open placement, mulched with gravel.
